Project Builder 1: problems-solutions

There is an empty, abandoned lot in your neighborhood and the mayor wants to transform it. Town hall is accepting proposals to turn it into a useful space for the community. Considering the following problems in your community, you must address 5 proposals in pairs.

Problems in the neighborhood:

  1. Animals
    • There are many stray cats
    • The area is very dirty and full of litter
    • People feed animals on the street and it stinks
    • Dog owners don’t know where to walk their dogs
  2. Culture and leisure
    • The neighbours don’t know each other
    • Elderly people feel lonely
    • Only children don’t have friends to play with
    • There is no library in the neighbourhood
  3. Sports
    • Old people don’t do sport
    • Teenagers spend too many hours at home
    • There is not running track
  4. Science
    • Elderly people don’t know how to use computers
    • Teenagers don’t have a place to build robots
    • Kids don’t know anything about planets, satellites and stars
  5. Ecology
    • There are no places to eat outdoors
    • People want to eat organic fruits and vegetables
    • The city is grey and dark

Project Builder 2: reasons

Create a MOODBOARD with images to use as inspiration for your proposal. You need to include at least 5 park features (dog zone, outdoor gym, etc.) and each one has to include a justification about why you have chosen them. Remember that all the features you choose for your park need to have a justification to benefit the whole community.
