Writing
Write a text about your proposals individually.
- You can use Word Reference and your notebook ONLY.
- You have to turn it in at the end of the class.

Project
Project Builder 1: problems-solutions
There is an empty, abandoned lot in your neighborhood and the mayor wants to transform it. Town hall is accepting proposals to turn it into a useful space for the community. Considering the following problems in your community, you must address 5 proposals in pairs.
Problems in the neighborhood:
- Animals
- There are many stray cats
- The area is very dirty and full of litter
- People feed animals on the street and it stinks
- Dog owners don’t know where to walk their dogs
- Culture and leisure
- The neighbours don’t know each other
- Elderly people feel lonely
- Only children don’t have friends to play with
- There is no library in the neighbourhood
- Sports
- Old people don’t do sport
- Teenagers spend too many hours at home
- There is not running track
- Science
- Elderly people don’t know how to use computers
- Teenagers don’t have a place to build robots
- Kids don’t know anything about planets, satellites and stars
- Ecology
- There are no places to eat outdoors
- People want to eat organic fruits and vegetables
- The city is grey and dark
Project Builder 2: reasons
Create a MOODBOARD with images to use as inspiration for your proposal. You need to include at least 5 park features (dog zone, outdoor gym, etc.) and each one has to include a justification about why you have chosen them. Remember that all the features you choose for your park need to have a justification to benefit the whole community.
- You can create the moodbord on Canva or Google Slides. Make it visual and attractive!
- You only need to turn in one moodboard per group.
- Each person in the group needs to have the five ideas written in their notebook under the title «Project Builder 2».
Project Builder 3: pros-cons
Write at least 3 advantages and 1 disadvantage of each of your ideas from Project Builder 2.
- Try to be as specific as you can
- Think about a solution for your disadvantages

Project Builder 5
Write a script of your presentation considering the following:
- Think about your audience and how formal you want the language in your speech to be.
- Choose a suitable phrase to get everyone’s attention at the beginning.
- Introduce yourself and say why you are making the speech.
- Use the pronoun you to talk directly to the audience.
- Use lots of positive adjectives.
